The part of the house without a roof.
Audio in the planting, a television that survives August, shades that take the wind, lighting that knows when the sun sets, and a pool that answers the same keypad as everything inside.

Built for weather, run like the rest of the house.
Sound
Landscape audio is its own specification: satellites in the beds, subwoofers buried in the ground, amplification rated for the run. Coverage at conversation level across the whole yard, not one loud speaker by the door.
Picture
An outdoor television is sealed against rain, rated for heat, and bright enough to read in daylight. A weatherproof cover on an indoor set is none of those things.
Control
Shades, lighting, music, the television and the pool on the same keypads and app as the interior. One Good Evening scene brings the patio up as the sun goes down.
Heat is the enemy, not rain
North Texas summers kill more outdoor electronics than storms do. Everything we put outside is rated for the temperatures it will actually see, mounted where it can shed heat, and specified with the afternoon sun in mind.
Landscape lighting is a design job
Fixtures chosen for the tree, the path and the facade, on astronomic schedules that track sunset through the year. AMP Lighting and Coastal Source fixtures, on the same control as the rooms inside.
Exterior shades are their own discipline
Wind load, sun tracking and the long spans a patio asks for call for different hardware. For exterior and patio shades we specify our Outdoor Shades line, built for exactly that, and they answer the same keypad as the shades inside.
Pool and spa on the keypad
We integrate with Pentair and Jandy pool controls, so the spa heats from the phone and the water features come on with the evening scene. We do not sell the pool equipment; we make it part of the house.

A covered patio is a room. Treat it like one.
Television over the fire, sound that reaches the pool without shouting, shade that drops when the sun swings around, and a single keypad by the door. The same discipline as any room inside, with weather added to the specification.

Exterior shades: our Outdoor Shades line.
Engineered for wind and sun and the spans a patio asks for, specified and installed by us, and running from the same keypads and app as the shades inside. The full range is at outdoorshades.com.

How loud can outdoor audio go without upsetting the neighbors?
The point of a landscape system is even coverage at low level: many small speakers close to the listeners rather than one loud one aimed across the yard. Laid out properly, it is louder at your table than at the fence.
Do outdoor TVs need to be covered?
Not a purpose-built one. SunBrite and Neptune sets are sealed against rain and rated for the heat; a cover keeps pollen off the glass, it is not what keeps the television alive.
Can the pool run from the same app?
Yes, through Pentair and Jandy integration. Heat, lights, water features and the spa become items on the same interface as the lights and the music.
Do you handle the exterior shades?
Yes. Exterior and patio shades are our Outdoor Shades line, engineered for wind and sun, and they run from the same keypads and app as the interior shades.
