Somebody else installed it. Nobody's answering.
You have a system you didn't choose and can't get anyone to look at. This is one of the most common situations in our industry and almost nobody talks about it.
Systems outlive the companies that install them.
When that happens the homeowner is left holding equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars that nobody will touch. We will. But we look first, and we tell you the truth about what we find.
The company that installed it is out of business, or won't return your calls.
You bought the house and the system came with it — no manual, no passwords, no idea.
Half of it works. Nobody can tell you why the other half doesn't.
You've been quoted a full rip-and-replace when you suspect it doesn't need one.
Your app stopped connecting from outside the house and never came back.
Someone “fixed” it once and it's been worse ever since.
You've been told your system is too old to support, with nothing to back that up.
Four steps, and you can stop after any of them.
No pressure, no bundling, and no work performed before you've seen it in writing.
Step one · Free
Discovery callFifteen minutes on the phone. What you have, roughly when it went in, what's not working. We'll tell you right away whether it's something we can support — and if it isn't, we'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
Step two · $499
Certification visitTwo to three hours on site. Every device inventoried, network tested, control system audited, credentials recovered, rack photographed. Nothing gets changed — this visit is diagnostic. You receive a written report within five business days.
Step three · Quoted
RemediationQuoted from the report, itemized line by line, with nothing hidden or bundled. We bring the system to a standard we're willing to stand behind — and you decide how far to go, including not at all.
Step four · From $59/mo
You're coveredOnce certified, your system is eligible for any Blue Note Encore plan at standard pricing. From that day it's treated exactly like one we installed ourselves — same monitoring, same guarantee.
We're being retained for an opinion, not bidding for work.
Plenty of companies will come out for nothing. What you get is an hour of someone looking for the biggest thing they can sell you. A paid certification changes the relationship — it means we can tell you your system is mostly fine, or that the expensive thing you were quoted is unnecessary, without it costing us the job.
The $499 covers three hours of a certified technician's time and a written report. It comes straight back to you against any remediation over $2,500. If you decide to do nothing, you keep the report and you owe us nothing further.

Yours, whether or not you ever hire us again.
A complete written inventory of what you own, device by device. A network assessment. A plain-English explanation of why the things that are broken are broken. A photographed record of your rack. Your administrative credentials, recovered and documented.
Most people in your position have never had any of that.
We don't waive them. A standard you can negotiate isn't a standard.
You'll get one of these, in writing.
Outcome
CertifiedAll seven criteria pass. Your system is eligible for coverage today, with no work required. It's uncommon on a first visit — but when we see it, we'll tell you your system is in good shape and leave it alone.
Outcome
ConditionalSpecific work is needed first. This is where most systems land, including good ones. It doesn't mean your system is bad — it means we found things to address before we can honestly guarantee a response time on it.
Outcome
Not certifiableSomething we found can't be remediated, so we can't cover it. We'll tell you plainly and you'll still get the full report. We'd rather lose the sale than take your money every month for a guarantee we can't keep.
A response-time guarantee is only worth something if we can actually keep it. If a system is built on a dead platform or assembled from gear we can't stand behind, selling you a plan would take your money every month and fail you on the day it mattered.

“Blue Note A/V has done all of my Audio Visual work since the first time they did a project for me back in 2007… They are completely confident in all areas of Audio Visual Technology and are totally trustworthy.”John D.Plano, Texas
Before you book.
Will you just tell me I need to replace everything?
No. That's exactly what the paid certification exists to prevent. We're being retained for an opinion, not bidding for a job, so we have no reason to inflate the scope. If most of your system is fine, the report will say so — and quite often it does.
I don't have any of the passwords.
Completely normal, and it's one of the things the visit is for. We recover what can be recovered through the manufacturers, reset what can't, and document all of it. Most orphaned systems arrive with nothing at all.
Do I get the $499 back?
It's credited in full against any remediation work over $2,500. If you decide not to proceed, the fee covers the technician's time and the report, and you owe nothing further. You keep the report either way.
Why can't you just cover it as-is?
Because a guarantee on a system we've never worked on is a guarantee we have no business making. We don't know what's in it, what state it's in, or what's about to fail. Certification is how we find out — and it's why our response guarantee means something.
How long does the whole thing take?
The visit is two to three hours. Your report follows within five business days. Remediation depends entirely on what we find — sometimes a single afternoon, sometimes a staged project over a few weeks. We'll tell you which before you commit.
Do I have to sign up for a plan?
No. Plenty of people certify, remediate, and stop there. Coverage is offered because it's the thing that keeps a system working — but it's optional, month to month, and you can cancel any time.
Your system isn't beyond help. It's just been abandoned.
Fifteen minutes. We'll tell you honestly whether this is worth your time before anyone books anything. No payment now, and no obligation — if we don't think we can help, we'll say so on the call and point you somewhere that can.
