What we do with your details.
You gave us a phone number so we could call you back. That is all we use it for. This page says so precisely, and says who else is involved.
What we collect
Only what you type. The contact form asks for your name, an email address or a phone number — either one, we only need a way to reply — and what you are looking to have done. The city and the type of inquiry are optional. We also record which page you were on when you wrote to us, because it tells us what you were reading about.
We do not buy lists. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited, how visitors found the site, and whether they use a call, email, or inquiry button. It receives technical information such as browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, and pages viewed. We do not send it names, email addresses, telephone numbers, inquiry text, or chat messages.
We also use the Meta Pixel, so that when a visit starts from one of our Facebook posts, Facebook can tell us whether it led to an inquiry or a call. It receives the same kind of technical information, plus the fact that a lead was sent or a contact link was tapped. It does not receive your name, contact details, or what you wrote. Meta describes what it collects in its privacy policy.
Where it goes
Straight into our own job board, which runs on Supabase. Your inquiry becomes a record in the same queue our existing clients’ service requests land in — it is the list Lee works from. A copy may also be emailed to us through Resend so it is harder to miss.
The site itself is hosted by Netlify, and if our own system is unreachable when you press send, the form falls back to Netlify’s so that your message is not lost. That is the only reason they would ever hold it.
We do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, or pass them to other trades. Occasionally a job needs a builder or an electrician you are already working with — we would ask you first.
The Ask Us assistant
The chat window is answered by an AI assistant. To write each reply, the recent part of your conversation is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model generates the response. We name them because you are entitled to know that a third party sees what you type there.
We do not store the conversation. It lives in your own browser for as long as the tab is open and disappears when you close it. Nothing is written to our database unless you choose to hand over your name and contact details — and if you do, the questions you asked are saved alongside them, so we know what you were after before we call you.
The assistant is not a quote and is not a person. If it matters, call us.
How we will contact you
Once you have written to us, we will reply about your inquiry — by phone, text or email, whichever you gave us. That is what the details are for.
We do not run a marketing list and we will not add you to one. If you would rather we stopped contacting you, say so in one line and we will stop.
How long we keep it
While we are working with you, and for twenty-four months after we last hear from you. After that the record is deleted. If you were a client, we keep what we need to honor a warranty or show what was installed in your house — you would want us to have that when something fails in year four.
A chat on its own is not kept at all, so there is nothing to age out. The one exception is the one named above: if you hand over your name and contact details through the chat, the questions you asked are saved with that inquiry and are kept on the same twenty-four-month clock as everything else here.
Cookies
The Meta Pixel may place a cookie that lets Facebook recognize a browser that arrived from one of our posts. We use it to measure inquiries from those posts, not to build advertising profiles.
Google Analytics may place first-party analytics cookies, including a cookie used to distinguish one browser from another. We use it for aggregate traffic and lead measurement, not advertising, and the Analytics account’s optional data-sharing settings are disabled. Google explains how it processes information from sites using its services in its privacy information for partner sites.
The chat window keeps its own copy of your conversation in your browser’s storage while the tab is open, and that copy never leaves your machine. What you type is still sent to us and on to Anthropic to write each reply, as the Ask Us section above says — the local copy is only so the window still reads back when you scroll it.
The typefaces on this site are served from this domain rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
Asking us what we hold, or to delete it
Email info@bluenoteav.com or call 214 718 3968 and ask. We will tell you what we have, correct anything wrong, or delete it, within thirty days. You do not need to give a reason and it costs nothing.
The only thing we may keep after a deletion request is a record required for a warranty or a tax obligation, and we will tell you if that applies.
Children
This is a site about home installations, aimed at homeowners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Changes, and who we are
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly widen what we do with your details.
