Every so often a speaker arrives that you want to look at as much as listen to. The KEF LS LUXE is that speaker — a fully active, wireless hi-fi system wrapped in a sculptural body by renowned designer Ross Lovegrove.

The ProductKEF LS LUXE

At its heart is KEF’s 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array — the tweeter sitting in the acoustic center of the midrange for a wonderfully coherent, room-filling sound — backed by MAT (Metamaterial Absorption Technology) that soaks up 99% of unwanted rear energy. Each speaker is fully active, with 280 W of Class-D for the lows and 100 W of Class-AB for the highs, plus VECO distortion control. Streaming is comprehensive: network audio to 384 kHz/24-bit, HDMI eARC, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify/Tidal/Qobuz Connect, and Bluetooth 5.3.

How it sounds

Detailed, holographic, and utterly unfussy about placement — the Uni-Q throws a big, stable image while the active design keeps everything tight and controlled. It is the kind of speaker that disappears and leaves only the music.
